Job Description

Central Coast Local Health District require a “Carpenter” in Gosford NSW:

Reporting to the Leading Hand Carpenter and Maintenance Manager to provide a day to day delivery of Carpentry services across Central Coast Local Health District. This encompasses working with a small team of Trade staff, liaising with other staff, to support the delivery of ethical and cost effective carpentry services in a timely manner, across the district. You may be required to work at other hospitals, Community Centers and other facilities.

Selection Criteria
Carpentry Trade qualification relevant to this position.

Experience in carrying out carpentry and joinery works to a high finishing standard.

Current NSW Driver’s License able to participate in an on-call roster and be available for after-hours call backs.

A current Occupational Health and Safety General Induction for Construction in NSW Certificate or willingness to obtain within three months of appointment.

Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Work, Health and Safety.

Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of trade, non-trade and contract staff in accordance with the Ministry of Health Code of Conduct and in a manner conducive with the harmonious and efficient team delivery of maintenance services in a modern health facility.

Sound written and verbal communication skills with willingness to learn computerised Building Management Systems.

Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter
