Job Description

Central Coast Local Health District require a “CCLHD – Dispensary & Clinical – Pharmacist” in Gosford NSW:

To provide an efficient clinical pharmacy service to ensure high quality and best practice for clients of the area health service. This includes dispensing, clinical, manufacturing, teaching and research functions.

With a rapidly growing population we offer a comprehensive range of services from acute care at Gosford and Wyong hospitals to sub-acute and community based services. Selection Criteria
1. Registered Pharmacist in Australia, or able to be registered as a pharmacist within 3 months of commencement. Grade 2 placements will be made in accordance with award criteria only.

2. Demonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and ability to apply drug knowledge appropriately to clinical settings.

3. Demonstrated ability to manage a dispensary, and the knowledge and skills to abide by Commonwealth, N.S.W. and hospital regulations.

4. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff, patients and care providers.

5. Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and to supervise the activities of support staff.

6. Demonstrated passion and commitment to hospital pharmacy and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

7. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education, including membership to professional organisations such as S.H.P.A. and/or post graduate pharmacy studies.

8. Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter.
