Full-Time Civil Engineer/Project Manager

Private – Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia

Job Description

  1. To produce detailed documentation in the areas of Quality, Safety and Environmental based on the company’s accredited system and needed for implementation in Civil Engineering projects.
  2. To organise the delivery of materials, plant and equipment needed for construction.
  3. To develop and maintain updated programmes for the co-ordination of all activities.
  4. To liaise with Site Supervisors, sub-contractors, other professional consultants and government representatives.
  5. To analyse and interpret reports on quality, materials and performance.
  6. To supervise the testing and commissioning of completed works.
  7. To investigate changes and variations to the contract involving research into better methods of implementation, most economical costings and impacts on the construction programme.
  8. To attend meetings.
  9. To compile estimates for new projects and prepare and submit tenders.
  10. To report to Company executives.
  11. Hold a Tertiary qualification – preferably a degree in Civil Engineering.
  12. Have good oral and written communication skills.
  13. To be proficient with computer programmes such as MS Word, Excel and Project.
  14. To be able to work unsupervised at times and as part of a team.
  15. To hold a Driver’s Licence and a General Construction Safety Induction Card and be willing to adhere to the safety requirements of the company.
  16. Salary package is negotiable but will commence at $80,000.00 with the opportunity of increasing depending on qualifications and experience. A vehicle and phone (or phone allowance) will be supplied
