Job Summary

A reputable private Registered Training Organisation on the Central Coast is looking for a dynamic and engaging classroom-based Trainer / Assessor to join their friendly team.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are seeking a contract Trainer / Assessor to provide quality training and assessment services for BSB30115 Certificate III in Business.

The role will be based in Gosford and will involve face to face training and assessment.

To be successful in the role you will be a highly motivating, dynamic and engaging individual with outstanding presentation skills that sets you apart from others. You will have a proven track record of leadership in a classroom environment with demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication skills. You will be need to be motivated (as well as motivating), reliable and highly organised.

The role will be supported by our friendly staff who will handle much of the behind the scenes administration work. When you are not delivering face to face training you will be marking assessment work and doing lesson preparation.

You will be responsible for providing quality training and assessment services which will include providing individual support to accommodate student needs. You will understand the importance of supporting a student to ensure they are progressing as per their scheduled training plan. The target group for the training will primarily be job seekers. You will be preparing these job seekers for employment and will be simulating a work environment as closely as possible during the classroom deliveries.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Criteria

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)

Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed

Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided

Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning to inform training and assessment

Ability to work independently

Well-developed Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

In addition it is preferable that applicants have previous experience;

  • delivering accredited classroom based training programs to job seekers
  • working in the VET sector

Benefits and Perks

This is a contract position. Classroom days are Wednesday / Thursday with training commencing 7 March and ending 26 July. The contract position is 19 hours per week for the duration of the classroom program. Applications close 23 February 2018.
