About the Complex: Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort is styled to reflect the ambience of a Mediterranean village, with 40 beautifully appointed boutique Motel Rooms, an eclectic shopping village, dining precinct and 6 theatre cinema.

Position Brief/Overview: As a permanent, full-time Complex Manager with guaranteed ongoing employment at Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort you will be required to control and coordinate the strategic and operational management of our Complex in order to ensure the proper and efficient operation of our retail, motel and cinema divisions, while creating and sustaining a safe and productive environment for all stakeholders.

Please also note that, in carrying out your designated tasks (outlined below), you will be responsible for managing staff while overseeing the combined undertakings of several service areas including, but not limited to: admin, finance, marketing, sales and customer service.

Main Tasks & Other Duties:

  • Supervising office, floor, security, and customer service staff (including contractors) in the carrying out of their respective duties;
  • Controlling/supervising the selection and training of staff and ensuring they comply with all relevant job descriptions and performance guidelines;
  • Monitoring and supervising retail, motel and cinema operations;
  • Supervising cleaning staff to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, policies and procedures and quality standards;
  • Organising and supervising general maintenance staff (including contractors) in shops, motel rooms and cinema facilities;
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes for the practice of the business;
  • Scheduling and organising meetings with staff and senior management;
  • Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness, keeping records of financial transactions, meeting minutes and agendas;;
  • Working alongside Human Resources assisting in recruitment and training and revising KPIs for monitoring and evaluate work performance;
  • Liaising with Marketing and other relevant departments when implementing comprehensive and efficient marketing plans and overall promotional strategies (including digital marketing undertakings; events and festivals);
  • Ensuring constant and appropriate maintenance, installation and repair of facilities equipments;
  • Liaising with suppliers and other stakeholders to promote business interest and partnerships;
  • Generating regular reports and reviews of facility-related finances to support the building up of sales;
  • Liaising with Finance departments in the preparation and review of budgets and other forecasts, developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives when applicable;;
  • Responding to internal conflict and ensuring service standards are met;
  • * Assisting senior management, as required;
  • Coordinating and supervising the upgrade of facilities, thereby sourcing new equipment, allocating new activities, setting-up best procedures and liaising with relevant stakeholders;
  • Developing, reviewing, documenting and applying operational procedures and regular inspections ensuring maximum efficiency and minimising disruption;
  • Assuring security of the facility including response to facility and equipment alarms and system failures; and
  • Controlling activities like parking space allocation and proper waste disposal, and ensuring water and heating are well maintained.

Relevant/Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Diploma-level qualification in Business, Management (or related field )(required); and
  • Relevant/Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years managerial work experience (required).

Other Relevant Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to commit to permanent and ongoing, full-time employment; and
  • Ability and willingness to live onsite and work a 24 hour rotating roster (including weekends, public holidays).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,999.00 /year

Experience:

Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred)
