Job Description

We are seeking creative and career focused individuals to join our kitchen team following recent catering contracts being award and the opening of our new restaurant. This position provides a great opportunity for cooks looking to develop their skills.

Successful applicants will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within food hygiene guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A passion for the food and beverage industry;
  • Trade qualified (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher);
  • An understanding and appreciation for traditional and contemporary cooking styles and methods;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a busy fast paced kitchen environment;
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Previous experience in hotel/bistro or busy restaurant environment would be an advantage;
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends, school and public holiday periods;
  • Good English language ability required

The salary offered is based upon the award but will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position working 38 hours a week.
