Job Description

Bridge Consulting require a “Customer Service Officer” in Gosford NSW:

Our client is a government agency in need of Customer Service Officers responsible for delivering housing services to vulnerable people in NSW to ensure that housing products and support services are effectively targeted to meet their housing needs. We have an immediate need for Customer Service Officers to provide tenancy, property management services and advice to clients.

This full time contract role will commence on the 16 April, 2018 until the 16 July, 2018 and may be extended. You will be working a 35 hour week.

The Role

You will be meeting with clients face to face working in-field and over the phone to assess the clients needs for housing assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients and government agencies to provide advice and assistance on housing options
    based on assessment of eligibility, client applications in line with relevant legislation, policies and
    procedures
  • Managing Phone and counter duties with housing clients
  • Visiting tenants in their homes and undertaking client service visits, attending properties with support services
  • Interviewing tenants and clients for rent arrears
  • Managing a portfolio of properties whilst Identifying and actioning tenant damage, property care
  • Manage client information to ensure confidentiality, accuracy and integrity
  • Monitor property condition and facilitate maintenance and minor modifications where necessary to meet client needs

Key Skills Required:

  • Prior experience working in government housing, insurance or property management, dealing with complex support needs
  • Exceptional planning and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines in a demanding work place
  • Managing conflicts and expectations of clients and their advocates in a human services environment
  • Intermediate skills in Excel, outlook, WORD, TRIM
  • Valid Drivers License
