Applications are invited from Enrolled Nurses interested in working temporarily in the CCLHD Community Health Access Intake Centre till the end of June 2020. This is office based and field work, facilitating post discharge phone calls and transporting local health consumers safely home from hospital

What you’ll be doing

The Enrolled Nurse is an integral part of the nursing team, working under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse to support and care for patients to:

  • Deliver safe and appropriate care to clients in the Community including but not limited to 24 hour discharge follow up phone calls and transporting of inpatients from hospital to home
  • Provide nursing care within scope of practice and consistent with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Professional Practice Framework.
  • Work within the team environment supporting other and less experienced staff where applicable.
  • Ensure delegated nursing responsibilities are within own scope of practice and appropriate supervision is accessible to support safe practice.
  • Provide individual client care as a member of a nursing team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Be accountable for practice and participate in own Performance Management process.
  • Participate in professional and self-development activities.
  • Contribute to the profession of nursing.
