The Company

A government organisation based on The Central Coast is looking for an experienced IT Business Partner to drive business engagement and partnering between IT and internal stakeholders.

The Role

The IT Business Partner is the interface between the business and IT and will proactively engage with the business to understand their needs.

You will be:

Understanding and maintaining knowledge of key business plans and drivers to identify potential opportunities and gaps for more efficient utilisation of technology with the business area.
Engage and collaborate with leaders in IM&T and across the business to align business needs with service capabilities.
Build relationships and partner with key stakeholders to achieve desired business results.
Contribute to the development of Service Level Agreements and manage the expectations of the business in relation to the delivery and execution of IM&T services.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and how these may impact Central Coast Council and its business units.
In consultation with the IM&T Leadership, provide input into the prioritisation of business projects within IM&T to ensure that IM&T understands the desired outcomes of work and initiatives are met and delivered in a timely manner.
Champion and advocate of their business stakeholders within IM&T.
Work collaboratively with peers to ensure consistency in the achievement of IM&T, business stakeholders and corporate
objectives.
Who you are

You will have the following skills and experience:

Extensive experience within medium to large Information Technology environment that delivers to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Extensive experience delivering information and/ or technology advice to stakeholders which aligns with and supports Information and Technology strategic and operational plans.
Proven experience in the application of a customer relationship management approach in delivering services to internal stakeholders.
Proven experience in employing a collaborative working style to build and develop positive working relationships.
Demonstrated experience in documenting business requirements and facilitating planning activities to ensure their accuracy.
High-quality problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively adjust plans and schedules.
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
Previous experience in a similar or complementary role.
Proven experience delivering strong communications and stakeholder management.
