Full-Time Marketing Coordinator (specialised in hospitality/tourism)

Job Description

Our Hotel is located by the Central Coast highway, 20-minute drive from Gosford Train Station. We are looking for an experienced marketing coordinator to work with our operations team to ensure relevant marketing projects are delivered within specific timeframe and under budget. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the existing clients (mostly Business to Business (“B2B”) clients) and acquiring new customers. Therefore, this role not only demands exceptional marketing skills, but also customer relationship management (“CRM”) skills and business development skills in hospitality/tourism industry, especially with the B2B sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design appropriate products/services (short/long-term package deals), which can include accommodation, meals, conference room hire and transport to the attractions; in conjunction with appropriate pricing to meet client’s need
  • Promote such designed products and services after management’s approval
  • Support the operations department by producing appropriate copywriting and organising website contents for various digital marketing platforms, such as Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Ctrip and the hotel’s official website
  • Create additional marketing communications, such as flyers or brochures in both Chinese and English to support seasonal promotion such as the package deals
  • Establish hotel B2B clientele and make sure seasonal promotions are communicated effectively and efficiently with this segment.
  • Proactively build and manage a wide range of networks and relationships within the hospitality/tourism industry
  • Familiar with quotation, negotiation and finalise contracts with clients
  • Work with operations team to coordinate day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks
  • Respond to all client queries professionally and within agreed timeframes, ensuring client satisfaction with the response; Invite, collect and analyse client feedback for improved products/services
  • Monitor, analyse, and research on marketing industry issues and news and submit reports on emerging trends to management each quarter

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in marketing
  • 3+ years’ marketing or advertising experience
  • Experience in B2B Marketing and Relationship Marketing
  • 1+ year work experience in hospitality or tourism industry
  • A strong CRM background and digital marketing knowledge in hospitality or tourism industry is essential
  • Experience in leading/working within a team to achieve successful and measurable marketing results
  • Strong copywriting and graphic design skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
  • Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Citizen candidates or candidates with appropriate work visa (eg: permanent resident visa holder) are preferred
