Full-Time National Account Manager – Distribution

Job Description

Belkin require a “National Account Manager – Distribution” in Tuggerah NSW:


  • Increase sales by servicing existing accounts as assigned by the National Sales Manager.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of industry products and services.
  • Create proposals, negotiate agreements and establish pricing for customers.
  • Source new business opportunities within the distribution channel and manage the operation of the portfolio.
  • Interface with Demand Planning, Marketing, Product Management and Accounting departments regarding product needs, lead times and credit enquiries.
  • Be literate with Business Objects, HSOE and Sales Force systems (Internal Systems).
  • Assist the National Sales Manager with information specifically on market conditions pertaining to your portfolio and state to assist with the creation of proposals, pricing and marketing program implementation related to assigned accounts at any given time.
  • Prepare quarterly Strategic Plans and monthly Tactical Plans (SMART).
  • Manage Distribution Channel P & L to company requirements.
  • Accountability for Forecasting and Outlook of Distribution Channel.


  • Provide Quarterly Strategic plans for the Distribution Business that addresses Channel Plans, Marketing Activity and Pipeline Opportunities.
  • Classify and review accounts within the database and create comprehensive service / communications model for the Distribution Team.
  • Ownership of Distribution Channel P & L to company requirements (as per budgets).
  • Accountability for monthly Forecasting and Outlook for Distribution Channel (includes run rate, NPI, promotions, EOL etc).
  • Servicing existing reseller accounts and new accounts thoroughly, technically and administratively.
  • Create sales opportunities within assigned accounts by using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to inspire and guide customers towards goal achievement.
  • Manage Programmes and Allowances within budget and run monthly ROI analysis on O & A spend.
  • Have entrepreneurial insight – seizing opportunities to increase current business and/or expand into new markets, products or services.
  • Assist the National Sales Manager in developing new methods and approaches to finding and attracting new business, based on your market information.
  • Assist management in direction of increased customer service, revenue and gross profit support.
  • Provide input to create annual budget for National Accounts by product category.
  • Plan and execute QBR’s with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate Executive level meetings on a bi-annual basis with key stakeholders.


  • Thorough knowledge of Consumer Electronics industry. Experience in working with other vendors and major account segments.
  • Appropriate knowledge of IT systems and applications to accomplish work-related tasks e.g.: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
  • Financial Management – considers the financial implications when making decisions.
  • Strong ability to create a strategic vision and plan of customers’ needs as well as Belkin’s
  • Pleasant and professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly in written form and to proofread documents before sending.
  • Ability to pro-actively develop customer relationships by making efforts to listen and understand customer and anticipating/providing solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to meet company and personal goals, use effective selling techniques, supervise and motivate others, maintain an excellent attendance record and utilise excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Conduct one’s self at all times in a professional and courteous manner that preserves the reputation of the Company.
  • Communicate ideas, challenges and problems as they arise. Be collaborative.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
