An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered nurse with a keen interest and experience in endoscopy nursing to become part of our Endoscopy team at Gosford hospital.
The service has not long moved into a new environment and are already embarking on opening a second room to support the growing service and the community.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the service in collaboration with the Perioperative Nurse Manager and working with the CNC Endoscopy in implementing a direct access program for the district.

What you’ll be doing
The NUM is responsible for the coordination of Endoscopy services and nursing management at Gosford hospital consistent within the strategic directions of Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD). This is achieved through consultation and collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Perioperative.

The NUM takes overall responsibility for the health care environment and standard of care within the Endoscopy unit. As the nurse in charge the NUM will perform clinical leadership and management with accountability for culture, quality and safety, patient flow, financial management, change management and the experience of patients in the endoscopy unit.

The NUM is pivotal to the co-ordination of patient care, endoscopy management and leadership of the profession of nursing to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
