Job Description

Central Coast Local Health District require a “Occupational Therapist” in Wyong NSW:

The position provides Occupational Therapy (OT) intervention primarily to patients admitted to the acute medical and surgical wards at Wyong Hospital and to other wards as required, within a multi-disciplinary team, working Tuesday to Saturday.

The position provides supervision and delegation to Allied Health Assistant staff servicing the wards at Wyong Hospital.

Selection Criteria
Current registration with AHPRA, or eligible for registration with AHPRA, as an Occupational Therapist.

Demonstrated experience in the assessment and treatment of acute in-patients presenting with a range of medical, orthopaedic, cognitive/perceptual, neurological and geriatric conditions.

Demonstrated effective professional communication and interpersonal skills, including accurate documentation, and time management for timely and appropriate service delivery.

Experience in aids/equipment prescription, daily living/functional task assessment and recommending home modifications.

Demonstrated sound clinical reasoning and the ability to work independently, and as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated commitment to Quality improvement and ongoing professional development.

Current NSW driver’s licence.

Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter.
