Job Description

We are seeking a creative and career focused individual to join our kitchen team following recent catering contracts being award and the opening of our new restaurant. This position provides a great opportunity for a talented pastry cook looking to develop their skills.

Successful applicants will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within food hygiene guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have:
• A passion for the food and beverage industry;
• Trade qualified (Certificate IV in Patisserie or higher);
• An understanding and appreciation for traditional and contemporary cooking styles and methods;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a busy fast paced kitchen environment;
• Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure;
• Previous experience in hotel/bistro or busy restaurant environment would be an advantage;
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends, school and public holiday periods;
• Good English language ability required

The salary offered is based upon the award but will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position working 38 hours a week.
