Project Engineer(Mechanical) needed for ASAP start

A large and prestigious firm is seeking an experienced and outcomes focused Project Engineer(Mechanical) to join their busy team on a full-time basis located in Berkeley Vale, NSW.

The Role:
An opportunity exists for an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join ASAP Flood & Fire. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, on budget and fulfil the required function.

Skills required:

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position will be highly regarded
• Thorough understanding of mechanical design principles
• Proven ability to successfully design and prepare drawings
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Effective time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritising responsibilities
• High level of attention to detail with planning, analytical and decision-making skills
• Valid Drivers Licence (Essential)

Key Responsibilities:

• Defining the scopes of work, project cost estimation and technical submissions for various machinery upgrades and new equipment.
• Managing and performing technical engineering designs and sketches as required to communicate structural engineering requirements
• Planning and scheduling of projects
• Procurement of materials and engagement of contractors to undertake work
• Project monitoring and supervision
• Commissioning and handover of projects to operations
• Provide technical support to site operations and maintenance team
• Provide reliability and engineering expertise
• Supporting maintenance areas in specific areas of the project
• Ensuring the engineering standards are met on site
• Implement a drive for maintenance improvement strategies
