Full-Time Qualified Cook / Chef needed in Erina

Longhuang Chinese Restaurant – Central Coast

Job Description

Qualified Cook- 60K+ super

  1. Prepare and precook ingredient as required;
  2. Adjust the temperature of fry station, grill, oven and other cooking equipment;
  3. Cook food with different methods according to the menu description, and as per customers expectation;
  4. Handle different food items on the menu, checking them for quality, quantity and freshness;
  5. Season, portion, place and garnish dishes as designed;
  6. Ensure the food is served with right flavour and presentation and ensure food prepared meet customers’ specific diets and allergies;
  7. Store food items at correct temperature;
  8. Keep hygiene standards for cooking tools/equipment and work area;
  9. Undertake menu planning and bring suggestions for improvement;
  10. May train other kitchen hands.

Requirements:

  1. Certificate IV in commercial cookery or above or equivalent qualification
  2. 1-2 years relevant experience
  3. good teamwork

Qualified Chef- 65K+ super

  1. Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies
  2. Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  3. Discuss food preparation issues with relevant people
  4. Suggest on cooking procedures
  5. Prepare and cook food
  6. Complement hygiene regulations and give explanation to team members
  7. may select and train team members
  8. may freeze and preserve foods

Requirements:

  1. Diploma of Hospitality or above or equivalent qualification
  2. 3-5 years relevant experience
  3. good communication skill and management skill
