Job Description

Central Coast Local Health District require a “Registered Nurse – Gosford Surgical 2” in Gosford NSW:

To provide nursing care commensurate with own skills and commensurate.

  • with own skills and competence within a multidisciplinary, supportive team
  • environment.
  • To work within the team environment supporting other and less experienced staff where applicable and as required by legislation.
  • To work within the Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses in and the ANCI Code of Ethics Australia.
  • To provide individual patient care within a therapeutic environment.
  • To participate in professional and self-development activities.
  • To contribute to the profession of nursing.
  • This position will work within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team environment aiming to improve the surgical patient journey through timely and appropriate assessment and planning and health care delivery. There is a large focus of General and Orthopaedic nursing as well as providing care for General Medical patients that may be accommodated within the ward area when required.

The option of Permanent Full-time hours or Permanent Part-time hours may be considered.

Selection Criteria
Current Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.

Recent Acute Surgical and Orthopaedic clinical nursing experience.

Proven experience using advanced clinical skills in patient assessment and care planning.

Demonstrated effective clinical communication through use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion.

Evidence of personal time management capabilities.

Demonstrated knowledge of Quality activities and Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence- based practice.

Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter.
