Job Description

Central Coast Local Health District require a “Registered Nurse – Long Jetty Transitional Care & Subacute Units” in Long Jetty NSW:

This position of Registered Nurse will work within a multidisciplinary team environment caring for elderly patients requiring transitional and restorative care following an acute episode in hospital.

Staff will be employed on a rotating roster, with some night duty involved, within both the Transitional Care Unit and Subacute unit.

The option of Permanent Full-time hours or Permanent Part-time hours may be considered.

Selection Criteria
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Division 1.

Recent experience and/or demonstrated interest in working in Aged Care.

A commitment to the provision of quality aged care, slow stream rehabilitation and palliative care.

Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to work in a team , understanding of team nursing model of care.

Knowledge of dementia management/ challenging behaviours.

Understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of a Registered Nurse.

Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter.

This position requires a Working With Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Office of the Children’s Guardian.
