Contract Resource Planner (Rostering)

Job Description

The Resource Planner will initially be a six month contract with possible extension. This role reports to the Area Coordinator and is responsible for Central Coast client and staff timetables through our Client Management Information System, Carelink. The Resource Planner will develop program timetables and coordinate staff rosters to efficiently match participant requirements.

This role is responsible for:
• Developing rosters through Carelink to meet participant needs and suitable staff availability, matching skills with participant requirements
• Communicating with people with a disability and their families and carers
• Liaise with staff for the purpose of roster filling,
• Confirmation of timesheets against staff rosters for all Activity Leaders and Activity Support Partners
• Internally manage booking for activities using available systems and processes
• Interpret relevant industrial instruments in developing rosters and confirming timesheets, scheduling within budget parameters and ensuring compliance with the Award

The key requirements for this role include:
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use a rostering software packages.
• Extensive rostering experience.
• Ability to apply risk assessment principles in matching clients with staff.
• Ability to meet deadlines while matching participant needs with staff skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with staff, participants, and families.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant Awards and Industrial Instruments.
• Comply with WHS regulations and obligations under the WHS Act 2011 (NSW).
• Knowledge and application of Person Centred Approach principles.
• Service focused with the ability meet the needs of both participants and staff.
• Experience using Carelink is highly desirable.
