Job Description

RASHAYS require a “Senior Sous Chef” in Tuggerah NSW:

We are seeking experienced Sous Chefs for our Tuggerah Westfield Restaurant.

The Sous Chef role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to other staff to produce great meals for our customers.
  • Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of quality, service and Cleanliness.
  • Maintain and display a high level of product knowledge including food and beverage items, promotional activities and restaurant services.
  • Follow policies and procedures, including those for food preparation, storage, rotation, receiving deliveries and safety/security.
  • Assist in any areas of the restaurant when staffing constraints require.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area.

Skills required to be considered for the Sous Chef position:

  • Self-discipline and initiative.
  • Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems. Complete workplace tasks within operational timelines.
  • Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff. Including people from different social and cultural backgrounds and language abilities.

To be considered for the Sous Chef role, you will:

  • Be available to work on a 5 day negotiable rotating roster including mornings and evenings.
  • Eligible to work in Australia.
