JOB PURPOSE

Coordinators are office based staff who perform an integral role in ensuring services are delivered to customers using a team of community support professionals.

This role also involves the administration of drafting NDIS service agreements, creating service bookings, claiming from the NDIS portal and liaising with NDIS participants and their support coordinators/advocates.

The role involves liaising with support coordinators or case managers and customers to ensure services are provided in accordance with the customer’s assessed needs and support professional’s availability. The overall responsibility is to provide quality operational services, while maintaining efficiency and cost effectiveness and meeting compliance and procedural requirements.

MAIN DUTIES

Develop and manage customer service schedules, including service planning, confirmation and short notice placements and cancellations
Prepare and transmit schedules for customer services to support professionals
Verify allocation of support professional against customer service schedules and deliver timesheets to the pay office in a timely manner.
Arrange replacement staff to cover sick and annual leave, and their planned or unplanned absences, shift changes and non-compliance to customer services
Drafting NDIS service agreements, creating service bookings and claiming from the NDIS portal
Liaising with NDIS participants, local area coordinators, support coordinators and advocates to assist participants to implement their NDIS plan with Just Better Care Central Coast
Monitoring NDIS participants’ budgets

Assess, coordinate and monitor the relevant needs of individual customers and families in an ongoing and systematic way
Meet the specified and appropriate standards for the delivery of customer services
Ensure the ongoing development of flexible and innovative services through continuous improvement
Provide supervision, support and direction to staff
Ensure that a quality service is provided to people we support
Manage day-to-day activities of the service
Monitor the implementation of individualised plans for customers
Ensure that the rights, interests and needs of people we support are addressed effectively
Understand and respect the people we support linguistic and cultural diversity
Comply with all Just Better Care’s policies and procedures.
SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

Demonstrated high level awareness of issues affecting the disability, aged care and community health sectors
NDIS experience; including drafting service agreements, creating service bookings, claiming from the NDIS portal and liaising with NDIS participants, local area coordinators, support coordinators and advocates to assist participants to implement their NDIS plan
Previous customer service coordination experience in the health/aged care, non for profit, community services sector
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or extensive experience in being part of a coordination team that delivers services within the community sector, or similar
Experience in providing services to customers including assessment and monitoring processes
Experience with Procura and Mobility Options
Experience in (or the willingness to learn) risk assessments within a workplace safety context
Demonstrated experience in working toward targets to meet program outputs and outcomes
Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, including familiarity with and confidence in using, the Microsoft Suite
Demonstrated commitment to working within a strengths based, person-centred framework
Proven relationship management with all internal and external stakeholders, as well as good interpersonal and negotiation skills
Current and clear Criminal Record Check
Current Working with Children Check
Ability to multi-task
