Job Description

Looking for a Tandoori Cook, with a minimum work experience of not less than 2 years. The applicant should be able to perform or demonstrate the following skills:

• Examining receivables and foodstuffs to ensure quality produce is being received.
• Regulating temperatures of grills and other cooking equipment
• Marinating, preparing and cooking food in the tandoor.
• Seasoning and marinating food during cooking.
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and garnishing cooked meals as per service and restaurant standards.
• Storing food in temperature controlled facilities and ensure they are covered and tagged at all times.
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements if any for example gluten free and vegan meals.
• May plan menus and estimate food requirements.
• Train other kitchen staff and apprentices on an ongoing basis.
• Work in conjunction with the curry cook to complete daily tasks as assigned and required as per the brand standards.
• Ensure the tandoor section is clean at all times as per the HACCP guidelines.

The Selected candidate will be paid a package of $55,000 PA for 38 hours of work per week
