Position Information
Terrigal Public School is a dynamic, community-focused school with a history of providing rich academic, sporting and cultural programs. We are a growing school with a current enrolment of 840 students, including 41 Aboriginal and 22 EAL/D students. Students are organised into 35 classes, including 3 support classes catering for IO/IS/AU students. We have a strong emphasis on student well-being, with Kidsmatter and You Can Do It underpinning our programs. An active learning and support team works to provide high quality support to students and teachers. The Learning and Support Teacher works as part of an intervention team. The innovative use of digital technologies to enhance learning is a growing aspect of our school. A passionate and supportive P & C, strong links with the Kuriwa AECG and the schools of the Terrigal Learning Alliance are all strengths of our school.

Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach students with learning and support needs primary and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs primary in regular classes.

Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.

Innovative and effective use of data and technology in developing and implementing differentiated teaching, learning and assessment practices.

Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated capacity to actively engage staff, students, parents and the wider community in learning and support programs to the benefit of individual students.

Demonstrated high level organisational skills to manage conflicting demands, time pressure and working within a large, dynamic school environment.
