The Company
A reputable private Registered Training Organisation on the Central Coast is looking for a Trainer / Assessor to join their friendly team.

The Role
We are seeking a Trainer / Assessor to provide quality workplace and classroom based training and assessment services for the following qualifications: –

  • BSB30115 Certificate III in Business
  • BSB30415 Certificate III in Business Administration (including a small number of the BSB financial units)
  • BSB40515 Certificate IV in Business Administration (including a small number of the BSB financial units)
  • BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

The role will be based in Gosford and will involve classroom based training (for BSB30115 Certificate III in Business) as well as travelling to workplaces within the Central Coast region to conduct training / assessment visits (across all listed qualifications) with trainees and their employers.

You will have a proven track record of leadership in a work environment with demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication skills. You will be need to be flexible, motivated, reliable and highly organised with exceptional time management skills.

The role will be supported by our friendly staff who will handle much of the behind the scenes administration work.

You will be responsible for providing quality training and assessment services which will include providing individual support to accommodate student needs. You will need to work in consultation with trainees and employers to provide advice on unit selection to best support desired / customised work outcomes and guide them on recognition processes where required. You will understand the importance of supporting a student to ensure they are progressing as per their scheduled training plan.

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
  • Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed
  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
  • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning to inform training and assessment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Own reliable transport and current driver’s licence
  • Well-developed Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience delivering accredited classroom based programs

In addition it is preferable that applicants have previous experience;

  • working with trainees
  • customising training and assessment tools to meet the needs of the workplace

What’s on offer?

There is flexibility with the position on offer to be either a contract or permanent position. There is also flexibility with the position in relation to the hours (ideally we are looking for someone to work 38 hours per week but for the right person we will consider reduced working hours).
