The Role
Work Ready is a newly transformed program that assists young people with a disability to develop skills for further education and employment. The program focuses on building vocational goals, life skills and sourcing real-life work experience opportunities. Classroom-based workshops allow participants to learn practical and soft skills for work in a group setting. With funding through the NDIS, participants are able to select which part of the program will be most valuable for them, and you as their consultant will be able to tailor your approach. Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing a person-centred plan with each participant
Assisting participants to develop goals for further education and employment
Coordinating work experience placements and providing on-the-job support as required
Deliver practical, community-based training to develop life-skills
Facilitating group training sessions
Coordinating and attending social events and excursions
Essential criteria
Thorough understanding of person-centred practice
Proven experience assisting people with high support needs, including supporting people in employment (pre and post placement support)
Strong administrative skill-set
Current driver’s licence
Working with children clearance
Please note that the first stage in our recruitment process will be for shortlisted candidates to complete an automated video interview from their laptop, phone or tablet. As we are currently experiencing rapid growth within the sector, selected candidates will then be invited to attend a group interview session on Wednesday 30th August
