Full-Time Account Manager / Sales Consultant – Newcastle

$100,000 a year
Our client is a long-standing leader in mining technology. They are now a part of an international parent company that set the standard for quality and performance.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated person who can deliver a superior level of professional customer-focused relationship management and account management coupled with a comprehensive knowledge of contracts. This role forms an integral part of the sales team responsible for maintaining their position as the world’s leader in real-time mine management systems. This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Manager – Business Development – Australia.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret complex contracts.
Strong client relationship building and customer service skills
A high degree of sales and negotiation experience
A proactive and energetic approach to sales and account management
Uncompromised professional ethics and morals
A willingness to travel on a regular basis, throughout Australia as required.
The main activities of the position are:
Account management (one key account and 2-3 smaller accounts)
Liaise with and negotiate new contracts with existing clients to minimise the risk to the company.
Analysing customer needs and identifying opportunities for solutions
Value driven proposal generation including presentation preparation and delivery.
Liaise with Business Development Consultants to develop seamless customer/client approach

Essential requirements are:
Complex solutions sales and account management experience.
Strong mining technology sector domain knowledge, preferably focused around operational systems including: production; maintenance; machine guidance; safety
CRM experience, preferably salesforce®.com
Microsoft® Office competency

Desirable Requirements are:
Engineering or operational experience at a mine site or with a mining systems supplier
Exposure to a complex selling methodology: Huthwaite; Miller Heiman
Previous experience dealing with negotiating and interpreting service contracts.
