The Role

We are recruiting for a highly skilled Advanced Child Care Educator , who is early childhood trained and has a Diploma in Children’s Services. You will be working Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 7.6 hours per day at our KU Bel Air Preschool. Based in Adamstown Heights offering a nuturing, positive environment where each child is welcomed and respected, providing children with experiences and opportunities that encourage them to acquire skills, knowledge, attitudes and sensitivities that will allow them to make the most of their potential. This role is currently part-time but has the potential to lead to full-time in the future.

What we’re looking for?

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are. In addition you will have:

  • Recognised Diploma level of qualification in Children’s Services or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law(2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations(2011)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)(VEYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • A current First Aid certificate which includes Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • an interest in nurturing the outdoor environment would be highly regarded
