If you are interested in joining the NovaCare team we would like to hear from you. As our roles involve interaction and communication with people… you gotta like people!. We provide help with daily task like cleaning and transport, but that’s just a start.

How this program works?

The 4 week accredited training program is designed to give you the basic skills and knowledge required to start work in the aged care sector. This course is broken down into 2 weeks of classroom-based delivery and 2 weeks of (unpaid) work experience placement at Novacare. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment of the following 3 units;

-HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care
-CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically
-HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government

This is your opportunity to shine! At the end of the 4 week training program, Novacare may offer you a traineeship whereby you will complete the full qualification – CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, while in a paid position.

To be eligible for this program you must:

-be 16 years old or over;
-no longer at school;
-living or working in NSW;
-an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen;
-hold a current driver’s licence and have a reliable car with full comprehensive motor insurance;
-be able to pass a criminal record check;
-be physically able to perform personal care tasks;
-be eligible for a traineeship. This will be assessed before entry to program.

Although multiple positions are available, there is no guarantee of ongoing permanent employment for all participants in this course.

Please do not apply if you already have the Certificate III in Individual Support.

-Medicare Card.
