This position is highly visible and will play a key role in helping shape the future of the organisation.

The Opportunity – Assurance Manager

Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer this newly created position will drive and manage the delivery of the Assurance Management function of Greater Bank in line with strategic objectives. This will involve establishing, maintaining and continuously improving a comprehensive assurance program designed to provide assurance over key business activities through the review and validation of key controls and risk management processes. Your team will work closely with the 1st line of defence to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of internal control environments as well as the appropriate escalation of incidents and non-compliance. Working across the organisation you will partner with other Divisions to determine, establish and regularly review procedures and quality standards and monitor these against agreed targets.

What we’re looking for

A hands-on leader with experience in Assurance, Audit, Risk or Compliance to contribute to the development and implementation of commercially orientated assurance management practices to ensure continuous improvement and competitive advantage. As the successful candidate you will have strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively review and challenge the application of policies and procedures with the business. Superior communication skills underpin your ability to influence stakeholders including Senior Managers across the business. Knowledge and experience within the Financial Services industry will be highly regarded as will post graduate qualifications in a relevant field such as Finance, Risk and Compliance or Audit.
