The Mai-Wel Group is a large regional provider of disability services, focused on enhancing lives through opportunity and choice. Mai-Wel supports more than 1,500 participants across seven Local Government Areas.

Are you motivated to make a difference in the lives of others? We are searching for that special person who will provide ongoing guidance to our Support Workers in order to implement our Participant?s Behaviour Support Plans.

Your strong communication and coaching skills will be pivotal to your success in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver participant outcomes.

Reporting to the General Manager, Participant Services – What you will do: *Assist the Service Areas to identify behaviours of concern in observable and measurable terms, so that progress towards capacity building and fade out strategies can be measured.*Provide instruction, training and coaching to staff responsible for implementing strategies contained in behaviour support plans.*Work closely with NDIS funded Behaviour Support Practitioners engaged by participants, to ensure practical implementation of strategies is achieved within Mai-Wel supports.*Monitor Behaviour Support Plans for review, and ensure strategies modified by NDIS funded Behaviour Support Practitioners are implemented by Mai-Wel supports as required.*Use data collection tools, collate information and report to relevant stakeholders in relation to behaviour incidents to inform Support Plans and ensure timely and effective strategies are implemented.*Work closely with Support Coordinators to ensure changing needs in terms of behaviour support is communicated, documented and referred to NDIA as required.*Conduct Behaviour Support Inductions for new staff.*Adhere to reporting, documentation and administrative requirements to ensure compliance.*Assist with review and/or development, implementation and improvement of specific work practices and procedures.*Adopt a professional approach and be personally accountable for outcomes associated with decision making.

Selection Criteria – You will demonstrate qualifications/experience/qualities in: *Relevant tertiary qualification, such as Certificate IV Individual Support – CHC33015; or equivalent.*Experience in a similar role*Trauma Informed Practice Training. *Experience in Restrictive Practice monitoring and reporting.*Working knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principals including functional behaviour assessment, intervention and service delivery practices, and Restrictive Practice Authorisation processes*Working knowledge of Quality and Safeguard Framework and its practical application in Behaviour Support Implementation.*Experience in Behaviour Support Plan implementation.*Working with Disability Service Standards, Child Safety, and NDIS legislative requirements.*Strong Computer skills, including experience in the Microsoft suite of applications.*Excellent written and verbal communication skills*Current Driver?s License.
