Job Description

WesTrac require a “Branch Manager – New Machines & Rebuilds” in Hunter Valley NSW:

WesTrac is currently seeking an accomplished leader with a demonstrated ability to successfully grow sales and profit whilst keeping our people safe and motivated. We are looking for a leader who can mentor and lead a team to perform to the best of their ability and one who can identify and train our future leaders. We need a dynamic leader, a team player with the strength to build and maintain successful business relationships within both the Mining and Construction sectors.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager is accountable for the financial results and operational performance of New Machines & Rebuilds, delivering a service of the highest standard of Project Management, lean manufacturing resulting in exceptional customer satisfaction. Integral to this position is the requirements to effectively manage process efficiencies and service sales of the business unit by working closely with the sales team to ensure sales leads and opportunities are identified and won.

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

  • A proven record of safely managing people.
  • Highly developed commercial business skills with the ability to successfully generate profits, grow sales, manage sales teams, set budgets, and compile reports. Tertiary qualification in business or related field is desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in lean manufacturing or similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills and ability to engage with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management capability.
  • Advanced computer literacy with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and mentor future leaders.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines.

You will possess a professional and proactive approach to your work with experience in supporting high performing teams. As a strong communicator and influencer you will have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the business and will be adept in negotiating and problem solving.
