Telstra require a “Business Support Invoicing & Payments – 12 Months Fixed Term Contract” in Newcastle NSW:

We are accountable for the commercial integrity of all major Operations initiatives, and delivery of the key operational elements of the Definitive Agreements Telstra signed with the Commonwealth Government and NBN Co. in June 2011. By leveraging our broad commercial and contractual experience we provide the commercial centre of excellence for Telstra Operations.

The successful candidate will contribute to the management of Telstra’s commercial, financial, technology and customer service objectives and risks for the O&M Commercial Works deliverable’s. Additionally you will support the development of commercial opportunities and management of payment claims to deliver commercial and/or revenue opportunities for Telstra. This exciting opportunity is for a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.

This role will support contractor engagement and performance to support NBN Delivery in developing new growth business with NBN Co. The successful applicant will support the greater team by providing business support invoicing and payments focus in accordance with our contractual obligations with nbn Co.

Role Responsibilities include and not limited to:
Identify opportunities for additional revenue through claim validation
Quantification of billing data
Creation of nbn payment claims
High volume processing of payment claims and validation
Manage backlog of claims due to 500% WOR volume increase
Reconciliation of contractor claims and converting to nbn payment claims
Provide feedback on Schedule of Rate gaps
Identify Schedule of Rates revenue risks to mitigate contractual risks
Assist in the creation and preparation of reports/presentations to stakeholders
Issues management
Stakeholder Management
Sound technical aptitude – Desirable – knowledge of Telstra and NBN’s copper and fibre networks
Previous experience with claim/ payment systems
A Bit about You

Knowledge of some aspects of Telecommunications (or IT) industry platforms and applications
Experience with payment systems or databases
Fast learner and attention to detail
Administration and basic finance skills
Solving problems of moderate complexity
Maintaining stakeholder relationships
Previous Telstra experience is desirable
