New Horizons For Health require a “Capacity Planner” in Charlestown NSW:

Employment Type: Maximum term contract/secondment

We have an opportunity for a Capacity Planner in a Max Term Contract until 31 st March 2018 based in our Charlestown Hub. You will report to the Customer Service Manager. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for someone to lead our casual staff, students and volunteers to deliver in-house workforce support services.

This is an innovative position that requires an experienced Team Leader who is excited by positions that collaborate, coordinate and innovate. You will work with Customer Service Managers and Team Leaders to coordinate the allocation of casual support staff, students and volunteers within your team to the residential, community outreach and centre based services across Newcastle and Greater Newcastle.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with management teams to provide proactive and flexible workforce solutions
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities that enhance the delivery of streamlined services
  • Supporting staff, students and volunteers through mentoring, supervision, guidance and encouragement
  • Collaborating with a number of internal and external stakeholders including RTO’s, People and Culture and Finance
  • Facilitating effective recruitment and induction processes that drive best practice
  • Reporting on team performance and strategic key deliverables
  • Completing administrative tasks such as rostering

What you need to have:

  • Passion, Respect & Integrity Experience supervising staff
  • Experience planning workforce needs that meet rotating rosters
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands
  • Passion for the sector and supporting vulnerable people
  • Technical literacy with proven ability to use Microsoft Office and systems for reporting
  • Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health or Disability or equivalent industry experience
  • Own transport and willingness to travel between suburb locations
  • Willingness to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check, WWCC and first aid certificate that meet New Horizons employment criteria prior to commencing with us.
