Job Description

Employers Mutual require a “Case Manager” in Newcastle NSW:

You will be joining a high performing team managing a variety of clients. You will play a critical role in pro-actively and effectively managing claims and injury management aspects of a caseload of workers compensation claims within the legislation. The focus will be to achieve improved return to work and claims management outcomes.

Reporting to the Team Leader, this role will deliver quality customer service by:

Managing a portfolio of injury claims;

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with injured workers and third party service providers;
  • Accurately updating and maintaining the claims management system;
  • Developing and implementing Injury Management Plans in conjunction with the injured worker;
  • Working in accordance with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures.
  • Regular communication with stakeholders including presenting face to face on a regular basis

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will require demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated personal injury claims management experience (workers compensation, life/motor accident compensation etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the state Workers Compensation legislation and the associated regulations and guidelines
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to manage competing demands
  • Outcome focused
  • Stakeholder management experience
