Epworth Healthcare require a “Environmental Services Assistant” in Camberwell NSW:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Services Assistant with sufficient cleaning experience to join our fast paced Environmental Services Team.

Potential candidates must be capable of carrying out the physical tasks required in this role and deliver high quality and efficient cleaning services.

Tasks include:

  • Room and ensuite cleaning
  • Theatre cleaning
  • Vacuming
  • Removal of rubbish and dirty linen
  • Cleaning and maintenance of patient and work areas

Successful applicants will be required to work part time, with flexibility to cover staff leave and change shifts at short notice

This includes early mornings, late afternoon and evening shifts

Whilst being primarily located at one site, staff may be required to work at other campuses from time to time

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Relevant cleaning experience
  • Excellent cleaning and infection control skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Sound communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work unsupervised but take direction
  • Ability to plan and prioritise tasks
  • Understanding of infection control cleaning processes within a healthcare environment

Previous experience in a hospital environment is essential
