POSITION SUMMARY
An exciting HR Business Partner opportunity has arisen within Downer’s Engineering, Construction and Maintenance (EC&M) Division. Based in Hexham NSW, on the beautiful central NSW coast, this is a critical role partnering with Downer’s Power Generation and Industrial Services Sector on all HR areas including performance management, industrial relations, workforce planning and matters contributing to our ongoing growth and development. Working closely with our Operation’s leaders, you will provide timely and accurate advice and guidance on Enterprise Agreement interpretation and application, delivering a high level of customer service with a strong focus on providing pragmatic commercially relevant solutions.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a qualified tenacious HR professional who thrives under pressure, handling competing priorities. Key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to translate HR objectives into commercial language i.e. communicate bottom line impacts;
Proficiency in providing general HR and IR advice, support and guidance, utilising your working knowledge about relevant state based legislation (predominately NSW);
Commercially focussed with hands-on experience in providing input on HR, IR/ER matters for tenders, contributing to the growth and development of the business;
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and prioritise stakeholders requests;
A strong customer experience focus with the proven ability to collaborate, influence and foster teamwork; and
To be successful you will have substantial experience as a Human Resources Professional within a medium to large contracting organisation with a range of employment contracts and EBAs.
