The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and experienced Human Resource leader. Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager and working closely with senior leaders you will drive key initiatives to embed and promote the company values. This is a true generalist role, requiring a strong operational background.

The HR Manager is responsible for the execution of commercially relevant Talent, Culture and Development strategies and policies within the context of the organisation’s business strategy, to drive organisational effectiveness, business and financial performance.

They’re looking for a HR generalist to run their HR function across the Australian Operations. To be successful in this stand-alone role you will need an appetite for excellence, with a “roll up the sleeves” & “get it done” attitude, along with the ability to motivate, inspire and drive a nimble team to unite with a common goal of supporting the business to grow and strengthen their position in the travel industry as market leaders.


  • Manage the end to end recruitment function and apply your skills and experience to find ways to streamline the process
  • Identify and develop L&D solutions to support business leaders to upskill and develop their teams
  • Drive and support talent management to future-proof the business
  • Provides coaching and advisory support to managers on HR related matters
  • Provide guidance and assistance to employees on HR related matters
  • Support the Executive GM in maintaining a high performing leadership team
  • Develop, implement and drive performance management (including disciplinary and grievance procedures)
  • Manage employee / industrial relations issues, providing advocacy as required
  • Manage WHS, wellbeing programs and Worker’s Compensation
  • Ensures compliance with company practices to applicable employment legislation.
  • Assist in the governance of global corporate policies

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management;
  • Proven Experience as an HR Generalist, ideally in a global business.
  • Thorough understanding of employment-related legislation
  • Self-motivated uses initiative and is a lateral thinker;
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven high level of written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated organisation and planning skills;


  • Experience within the travel industry;
  • Experience in Enterprise Bargaining negotiations
