About Our Site

The Newcastle site is home to our Asset Management and Ship Repair Services teams within our Maritime business. The newly renovated office space is located close to Carrington and offers employee parking onsite. The site offers some beautiful waterviews and is a quick drive to some cafes and restaurants, as well as Newcastle city centre.
The Management Information Manager is focussed on the Minehunter program. In this role you will be accountable for managing the effective, reliable and secure provision of high integrity and availability of computerised business systems to support the In Service Support (ISS) contracts within Thales established quality and commercial guidelines.

Our opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for:

Leading and developing the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) team to achieve defined business needs and service objectives.
Ensuring compliance with Thales Corporate ICT policies and Corporate Security policies
Working with the Asset Management Information Services Manager to develop strategic work plans for the ICT service
Budgetary responsibility
Ensuring alignment to Corporate Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Security policies and programs.
About you

The successful candidate will be a seasoned Management Information Manager who is highly adept at leading a team and strong delivery outcomes, and has a strong background in project management and data centre operational management. Additionally you will have experience in the design, development and/or deployment of enterprise level business and administration systems. Your experience will be supported by qualifications in Computer Science, Information Science or equivalent Tertiary and/or Industry training and accreditation. A previous background in defence projects will be highly regarded.

Special requirements

A national police check is a mandatory requirement for all roles in Thales Australia.
The position is dependent on the candidate’s eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
