Ampcontrol require a “Lean Practitioner” in Tomago NSW:

We are looking for a Lean Practitioner based in Newcastle NSW working at our Tomago operations. This role is responsible for leading process improvement efforts across the organisation through the group’s improvement platform – AIM. It also assists in building the continuous improvement culture by actively facilitating, supporting and participating in the business improvement programs across the organisations manufacturing facilities and corporate business services.


The role will also assist in managing complex and cross functional improvement projects as well as providing training, mentoring and support to smaller improvement projects across the business. A key challenge will be instilling a lean and continuous improvement culture and ensuring improvements are sustained across a wide variety of stakeholders and business units.

To achieve this, you will demonstrate a unique combination of excellent inter-personal skills, creativity and tenacity in applying lean and continuous improvement principles.

You will need to have a genuine passion for Lean and Continuous improvement

The ability to successfully lead, motivate and coordinate a project team

Demonstrated experience in resolving challenges and identifying opportunities

Strong customer service focus and negotiation skills

Ability to communicate across a variety of Business units, including Corporate services, projects, standard item manufacturing, services and engineering departments

Humility and strong interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and the ability to understand process

Demonstrated ability to carry out and sustain lean and continuous improvements

Additionally, it would be advantageous if you hold an electrical/mechanical trade or engineering qualification, any project management skills and Lean qualifications
