Part-Time Learning & Development Trainer – Field Based – Hunter Valley

We are excited to announce that we currently have a part time opportunity, 4 days per week available for a Learning & Development Trainer to join our Organisational Capability Team. This brand new role will be located in the picturesque Hunter / Central Coast Region of NSW.

The main responsibilities of our Learning and Development Trainers are:

First and foremost – ensuring the delivery of exceptionally high quality patient and customer care – they are the reason we exist.
Travelling throughout Hunter & Central Coast delivering contemporary, high quality learning programs and activities to field based managers and employees to ensure they have the capacity to perform their role successfully
Work with the Organisational Capability Manager, Organisational Capability Specialist and relevant SME’s across the business to develop contemporary learning programs, activities and field resources to increase individual and team capability to improve overall productivity and performance.
Evaluate learning programs on a regular basis to ensure objectives remain relevant and information reflects current practice.
Conduct workplace observations and assessments to evaluate capability.
Identify employee learning needs using a variety of methods including training needs analysis, capability matrix, skill gap analysis, observation and feedback.
Champion change within the field and help others to adapt and embrace change.
Coach and Mentor trainees to encourage timely completion of their studies and on the job learning to successfully complete their traineeship and be ready to progress to a qualified Dental Assistant position.
Perform a variety of administration tasks associated with delivering contemporary learning courses and activities.
Occasional interstate travel may be required.
To be considered for this opportunity you have:

At least 3 years Clinical Dental Assisting Experience
Certificate lll in Dental Assisting or willingness to obtain
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain
Experience successfully coaching and mentoring team members to improve performance.
Effective influence, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Exceptional communication skills
Exemplary time management skills
Desire to make a difference and positively help others grow
The capacity to not disclose confidential and private information inappropriately
To be responsible for own actions and act ethically at all times
To be able to work both autonomously and collaboratively
Respect for diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives
The desire to be a change champion and assist others to adapt and embrace change in the field.
Solutions focused mindset to easily overcome challenges as they arise
Adept computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
