Job Description

Hunter New England Local Health District require a “Maintenance Supervisor” in Kurri Kurri NSW:

The position of Maintenance Supervisor Trade shall be responsible for the provision of on-site coordination and provision of efficient and effective day to day maintenance services for buildings, plant, equipment, grounds & gardens. This position shall also be responsible, to the HSM, Health Services Manager, with support from The Maitland Hospital Engineer, Lower Hunter Sector to supervise and coordinate Asset Management staff based at this facility and contractors and have the ability to utilise their skills to perform hands on tasks on a daily basis at their level of competency.

Selection Criteria
Trade qualifications in a building, maintenance or building services related trade.

Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage a high / fluctuating volume of work, and the ability to allocate priorities and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated general knowledge of facilities management processes, systems and work practices.

Basic computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email and familiarity with Building Management Systems.

Demonstrated technical understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical plant, equipment and infrastructure to assist trade staff/ contractors as required.

Demonstrated ability to liaise with Management, Supervisors, Contractors and Clients in regards to repairs and scheduling works.

Demonstrated capacity to work unsupervised, to provide after hours on call support and work as part of a team.

Current driver’s licence (NSW eligibility).
