Job Description

Volunteers needed to spare and share a few hours

Path 2 Change need those who can spare and share a few hours each week with a 15-24 year old. The support volunteer (mentor) program, P2Connect, requires people who can lend an ear, and impart some life experiences for a young person who lacks a significant someone in their life.

The role is more interactive than just meeting for coffee. Matching volunteers with young people with common interest’s means the time spent together can be flexible and fun. This could be sharing a love of art, giving a music lesson, going for a run or yoga class, or learning something new together. Also encouraged is providing Learner Driver hours in one of the Path 2 Change cars.

As the mentor program is about to kick off, we encourage anyone who may have thought about giving back, to enquire. Those under 35 are particularly encouraged to apply. Mentors receive training, and are supported and guided whilst finding their feet. Path 2 Change supports homeless youth throughout the greater Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and lower Hunter regions.
