We are delivering the ParentsNext program across regional NSW, North QLD and the Northern Territory. ParentsNext helps eligible parents to plan and prepare for employment by the time their children go to school.

About the Role

We currently have exciting opportunities for you to join our team as a part-time Case Manager in Toronto, one day a week.

In this role you will responsible for the delivery of ParentsNext services to empower and encourage parents to overcome barriers to employment as you navigate and develop strategies to support them in pursuing their desired education, job and career goals.

You’ll work individually and face to face with participants in a child friendly environment as you coordinate and facilitate their access to and involvement in training, work preparation and community services by using your skills in interviewing, basic counselling, mentoring, coaching and training.

Your contribution to the team:
You will work with Parents to tailor a participation plan and organise activities and support services to achieve their planned goals
You will work with Parents to address their challenges and needs and to access support services in their
You will be empowered to deliver services geared towards career planning and support services by providing training on effective resume writing, interview strategies and employment preparedness.
You will assume a proactive approach as you collaborate and network with potential educators, community networks, organisations and employers to seek out opportunities for your clients
You will remain outcome-focused in delivering results to the participants and the Bamara team.

To be successful in this role, you need to have:
Experience in Case Management, preferably in employment services and/or an employment-focussed role
A background in social work or related discipline working with people who have complex needs
Experience working with Indigenous peoples and communities.
You have an open mind and can deliver on participants’ requests with professionalism and empathy without prejudice.
You are true to your customers and genuinely care about supporting, encouraging and mentoring them to better their lives.
You are results driven, enjoy a sense of accomplishment when achieving KPI’s and are invested in the outcome of your delivery.
