As our success and growth continues across Australia, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Principal – Contaminated Land to join our NSW Team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to step into a newly created role to drive the contaminated land management division within the Hunter region and more broadly across NSW and QLD.

The role
Reporting to the Australian General Manager, the main objective of this role will be to continue growing the pipeline of work across a number of existing clients as well as seeking additional work from new clients. The role will also provide crucial support by providing high level technical guidance for our technical and field staff.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Manage key strategic clients.
  • Expand the current backlog of work within the contaminated land management division.
  • Develop, review and implement a business plan focusing on market opportunities within the contaminated land management sector.
  • Identify synergies with other parts of the business to explore and develop business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Provide technical direction and high level reviews of assessment and remediation reports.
  • Provide development and mentoring opportunities for the contaminated land management team across other offices to expand skills and technical capabilities.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • a degree in environmental engineering/science, geology or relevant earth science;
  • a minimum 15 years of related professional experience in contaminated land investigations and remediation, preferably in the Hunter Vallety region and wider NSW region.
  • Proven track record of winning work and building a strong client base.
  • exceptional verbal communication skills
  • exceptional technical report writing and review skills
  • recognised externally through active involvement in professional and industry bodies
  • high level of accountability for the quality and delivery of contaminated land projects
  • strong understanding of the contaminated land market in NSW.
  • ability and willingness to travel interstate (if required)
  • ability to manage and grow Kleinfelder’s NSW and QLD operations.
