Job Description

Psychologist wanted to join our team of experienced Psychologists in a newly established and reputable Private Practice in Upper Hunter Valley. The position would suit a Clinical Psychologist / Psychologist with competencies in treating a range of diverse issues including anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues.

This role is designed for clinicians who are able to take a hands-on approach to intervention, be able to work autonomously and have established or are developing skills in psychoeducation, assessment, and individual intervention. A strong focus on CBT and other evidence based interventions is required (e.g. EMDR, DBT, IPT, and Schema).

Professional development will be encouraged and supported. We will offer a generous remuneration package taking into consideration experience and qualifications of the successful applicant. The hours are flexible and will be agreed to meet the needs of both parties.

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

- Provide a range of psychological services to clients, including assessment and intervention

- Adhere to appointment schedule and manage time effectively

- Maintain files and databases as required

- Communication with and preparing reports for GP’s, Insurance Companies, and other organisations

Key Selection Criteria:

- Full Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA

- Working with Children Check completed

- Own ABN number and indemnity insurance

- Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and Workcover

- Demonstrated skills in the delivery of evidence-based modalities, conducting risk assessments and interventions

- To have the right attitude, optimism and problem-solving skills to help clients navigate challenges

- To be resourceful, dynamic, and tenacious

- An ability to learn quickly

- High level of oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, including the ability to work ethically, effectively and efficiently

- Willingness to support the growth of the business
