To support and lead our growing business, Trojan Rail is seeking a motivated self-starter with 2 -3 years labour hire recruitment experience to join our Newcastle team as a Resource Specialist.

About the role

As a Trojan Rail Resource Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating all recruitment activity from sourcing to placement as well as for accurately maintaining the availability spreadsheet and liaising with our Clients’ rostering teams on a continuous basis.

Role Responsibilities:

Within a team-oriented environment and having direct support, this position will undertake candidate sourcing, recruitment and selection activities for:
Bulk placement (Trainee Driver Schools nationally)
Traineeships (Rail Operations)
Specialist positions with the rail industry (i.e.: Locomotive Drivers)
Communicating Employee availability to our Clients for rostering purposes which will require effective communication with our workforce so as to maintain schedules and continuous liaison with client rostering specialists.
Skills and Experience

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have demonstrated labour hire recruitment experience as well as an understanding of the labour hire industry. You will also be able to hit the ground running by demonstrating the following:

Ability to multi-task, work to tight deadlines and thrive in a fast paced environment;
Great time-management skills;
A resilient, passionate and results-orientated personality;
Professional written and verbal communication skills;
Self-motivation and individual discipline to work autonomously as well as the aptitude to work well alongside colleagues in a team environment;
Experience with payroll procedures; and
An understanding of, and resilience to the “ups and downs” of the labour hire industry.
