ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

 

Impact,an OCG accredited residential care provider founded in 2002, provides therapeutic residential supports to children and young people in out-of-home care and adults under NDIS residential disability supports. Our clients often present with high and complex needs stemming from a history of abuse and neglect.

Therapeutic Care Practitioners (TCPs)will develop meaningful relationships with children, young people and young adults by getting to know clients as people with needs, dreams and aspirations.

 

In this role you will use the strength of your relationships with clients to support them in working towards their identified goals, whilst empowering them to participate in decisions relating to their own life.

To be a successful,you will have

 

Tertiary qualification (Min Cert IV) in Community Services, Disabability or relevant field
Experience working in the welfare/community services sector with children, young people and young adults, preferably in residential care services
or experience working with people with a disability coupled with complex behaviours
Be able to manage challenging situations as they arise
Willing to commit to a variety of different shifts, including overnight, weekends and public holidays
Willingness to travel to different locations as required
A First Aid Certificate (or undertaking to get one as soon as possible) and
A current Driver’s Licence
